It gives us great pleasure to announce the 7th edition of the Afkar-e-Taza ThinkFest on January 13-14, 2024 at the Alhamra, Mall Road, Lahore.
This year our theme is ‘Winter of Discontent’ a line from Richard III, a play by William Shakespeare. This theme exhibits the reality of the world around us with wars and carnage in the Middle East and Europe, a looming worldwide climate crisis, rising civil, ethnic and religious strife across many countries, and general despair and uncertainty. Our poster therefore reflects our theme through pictures of global protests.
However, while we understand and examine these fissures, we also hold on to our strengths, and strive to nurture newer thoughts–Afkar e Taza–which will enable a better world.
