Exploring Public Policy in Pakistan
Beaconhouse National University (BNU) is proud to collaborate with Afkar e Taza ThinkFest to invite submissions for papers in the realm of public policy in Pakistan, to be featured at panels at ThinkFest. This call extends to universities throughout Lahore and aims to foster a platform for rigorous academic discourse, in addition to providing students an opportunity to participate in policy discussions alongside Pakistan’s leading thinkers.
Objective
BNU and ThinkFest will curate a selection of outstanding papers, including prior undergraduate and graduate work, term papers, or policy papers, for the upcoming edition of ThinkFest being held in Lahore on 13-14 January, 2024. A maximum of nine exemplary papers will be chosen to form three panels at the festival where authors will be able to discuss their key policy arguments in a moderated format.
Submission Guidelines
Eligibility: Open to students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Content: Policy papers with a minimum word count of 2500 and maximum of 5000 words in APA 6 format. The papers can cover any of the broad array of disciplines that are relevant to public policy. Each paper must provide a clear problem statement and recommendations on the way forward.
Possible topics could include (but are not limited to):
Climate Change and Environmental Policy; Governance Structural Reform; Education; Vocational Training Policy; AI; Big Data and Governance; Trade and Global Policy; Transport and Communication Policy; Energy; Food Security; New Agriculture; Foreign Policy; Geo-economics and Connectivity; Economic Policy etc.
Submission Deadline: Papers must be submitted by December 30, 2023.

Authors are encouraged to submit their papers to [email protected] by December 30, 2023, for consideration. Selected authors will have the unique opportunity to present their work and contribute to the enriching dialogue at ThinkFest.
